For Ultimate Speed you need to polish the inside of the wheel bore. I've looked down inside the wheel bore with some powerful magnifying equipment. Take my word for it... it's not a pretty site!  Polishing the hub bore is  important in not only friction reduction frduction, but it also reduces "Break-in" of the axles and wheels and extends lubricant life for more FAST runs.

Our 1 Micron Wheel Bore Polish is the BEST THERE IS !

Simply put the pipe cleaner in your hand held drill, feed a wheel on to the pipe cleaner, apply a coat of our Wheel Bore Polish (1 micron), and use the drill to slowly polish the inside of the wheel bore. When finished rinse and clean the wheel out completely using warm water and an unused clean pipe cleaner. You will be amazed at the increase in speed you get in your pine wood derby car!

Get that Extra Advantage November 3, 2011

The Wheel Bore Polish is a must if you want to gain that extra advantage.  The first year we started polishing the wheel bore we saw a significant increase in speed compared to the years we only polished the axles.  Unless you polish both you're only realizing half the potential.
