Here is an awesome way to get the maximum possible weight located exactly where it needs to be in your pinewood derby car. Use Pure LEAD WIRE. The lead wire is approximately 3/8th of an inch in diameter and about 1 inch in length (actual product weight will range from 1 ounce to 1.7 ounces. Length will vary as well, but will always be 3/8 inch in diameter and weight no less than 1 ounce.)

For car builders using Derby Champ Pre-Drilled Pine Blocks and Wedges please note that our lead wire fits perfectly into the holes drilled in these products.

Caution: Lead is toxic if taken internally. Keep all lead products away from mouth or surfaces where food is prepared. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Do not melt or sand lead! Keep all lead products out of the reach of children. If lead is ingested, contact physician immediately.
